My motivation for today:

My grandpa is so awesome and such great motivation. At 81 he is still out there biking over 10 miles a day! He is so great!!!

Things have been extremely busy for me lately. I feel like I am constantly on the go! Today I will be working on the seating arrangements for the wedding tables and name cards…. whoever said wedding planning was fun was SO wrong…..

It saddens me that my blog has taken the backseat for the past week :( I am trying not to get anxious and stressed out about the next three weeks of wedding planning and travel but it is a constant effort to remind myself to stay calm.

He says, Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

These verses have been very humbling to me today because I haven’t taken a step back this past week to just be still with God. I have been trying to do all of these monotonous things on my own without seeking Jesus throughout it all. I am thankful for the reminder that these verses give me. Trying to go through this life without seeking Christ above all else just does not work and it leaves me even more stressed out and anxious. I have no reason to stress or worry about my wedding and the decorations or if people will like it, etc. because at the end of the day that wedding is not about Brian and I- it is about glorifying Jesus Christ.

My goal for the next 21 days is to learn to be still with Jesus. I know that the next 21 days will be hectic and crazy but  I also know that spending time in prayer and just listening to the Lord takes priority over all of the things that are going to try to distract be in the next few weeks.

I am so excited that I get to marry my best friend in 21 days. It is such a blessing!

Happy Saturday!
