… And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1
My tagline is a verse from the Bible that I think is appropriate as the tagline for this blog and for my life.
I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ.
He is my Savior
This is more than just a religion, it is an amazing, passionate relationship with the King of the universe! He came to earth, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again. He is alive! I am so thankful that I get to be apart of his Kingdom.
When I started this blog, I knew that I wanted to use running to bring glory to the name of Jesus. After studying Hebrews, the verse above stood out to me and it just made sense. Yes, as a runner it is important to have perseverance and to give it all you have when it comes to that one race you have been training for. We put in so much hard work in training, speed work, healthy eating habits, rest, etc. Well, it is just like that when pursuing a relationship with Jesus, except we don’t have to earn our Salvation, it is a gift. Persevering in the race with Jesus Christ is so rewarding. Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (v.2). So I will run physically and give it all that I have. And I will run spiritually and persevere until the end! My ultimate goal is to live a life worthy of the gospel of Christ, loving everyone, and bringing glory to His name- and I want to use running to show that!
